Review:
This movie is really cool, because she has a history in a way that will make you want it. This film also shows how hard it was to survive in the not-so-distant past. This film is about a person named Cecil, who is black, and the film in a time before everyone is equal and treated the same rights. Cecils father was killed by a white man, who was not arrested, he was not even talking to the police. Cecil goes to work for a woman as his butler, but finally decided to flee. Finally, when you're older, he the Presidents Butler. It used to them and meet people. But his son is getting arrested again and again, as he stood with Martin Luther King Jr. in the Civil Rights Movement and to take his focus away from his work. The main characters in this movie is Cecil Gaines (Forest Whitaker), Earl Gaines (David Banner), glory Gaines (Oprah Winfrey), and Louis Gaines (David Oyelowo). My favorite character is Cecil because he works so hard and just want to change it. He said that a black man has never promoted in the 21 years he worked for the presidents and he does not believe that it is fair.My favorite part in this movie is Cecil talking to the Presidents. He is so real and so good for them. He inspired me to be more intelligent to talk without saying the wrong things. He began working for seven presidents so he had a lot of practice. I recommend this movie for ages 10 and this movie has a lot of adult language. The film talks about the fight for equal rights for all people, which is something I remember watching Lincoln. It is a historical violence and many terms that I understand. Reviewed by Anthony A, KIDS FIRST! Film critical. For more reviews, go to kidsfirst.org
