Review:
This is a very disappointing.I adored the first film to pieces. I own the DVD and play it on a regular movie night with friends. The great pleasure in unexpected quotable, and visual spectacle. The characters are surprisingly likable and Depp was roaring like a breath of fresh air in the film master problem Jack. The third (as well as other), it will lose its roots. The first film, difficulty with supernatural things are still pretty grounded in a fairly realistic world. The characters are over the top, yes, but still likely, and most of all, relatable. Their motives and predicaments all made a lot of sense (ie, wanting to marry Elizabeth, Will, Barbossa wants to be free of the curse, Jack just wanting to get a boat so that he can live his life in freedom). Unfortunately, the new movie, the writers have lost touch with the beauty of the first film. Plots are convoluted so its hard to understand, much less remember, characters and motifs that you like. Its a lot more emotionally grounded. It also became so thick that the supernatural fantasy land, it has hardly any bearing on the real world at all. It may not have been a problem had the film-makers were not so intent on special effects and visual spectacles that they forgot to tell a good, solid story.I believe that this film would have been better If the writer is kept toned down a lot easier to plot and let's see ngu grand things that really dominate the movie.
